The Kearsley Varsity girls bowling team participated in the Carman Ainsworth 8th annual singles tournament at Grand Blanc Lanes on Sunday, February 3rd. The girls were strong in qualifying as all 7 girls finished in the top 16 as they took the top 32 girls into match play. 5 of the 7 girls were named to the all tournament team as Imari Blond led the entire tournament with a 4 game score of 893. Megan Timm qualified 2nd with a score of 797 and Allison Eible finished 3rd with a score of 791. Alexis Roof finished 8th with a score of 718 and Allison Robbins was 10th with a score of 705. Samantha Timm was 13th with a score of 678 and Emilea Sturk was 16th with a score of 654. After the cut each girl bowled another game and the cut was a 178 game as Kearsley had 5 girls make it to the final 16. In the round of 16 only 1 Kearsley girl made it through as Imari Blond bowled a 190 game. In the round of 8 Imari moved on to the final 4 with a 191 game but ran into some trouble in the final 4 as she bowled a 148 game and officially finished in 4th place for the day. The Kearsley girls were great in qualifying but couldn’t pull out a win. The next competition for the Lady Hornets is Wednesday night at 6pm at Grand Blanc Lanes.
