The Kearsley varsity girls bowling team participated in the MHSAA Regional singles event on Saturday, February 24th at Monitor Lanes in Bay City. Kearsley entered 6 girls in the event that featured 65 girls in this Region with the top 10 finishers qualifying to go to the state finals in Canton next week.
Kearsley’s girls dominated the competition as 5 out of the 6 girls who bowled finished in the top 7 places. Finishing in 1st place was Imari Blond with a score of 1207 for 6 games, 3rd was Alexis Roof with a score of 1166, 5th was Barbara Hawes with a score of 1141, 6th was Emma Boychuk with a score of 113 and 7th was Karlee Griffin with a score of 1097. Finishing in 24th place with a score of 944 was Allison Robbins.
The 5 girls who qualified for the State Finals for Kearsley will be bowling for an individual state title on Saturday, March 3rd at Super Bowl lanes in Canton, Michigan.
