The Kearsley Varsity girls bowled Clio in a Metro Conference match at Colonial Lanes on Saturday, February 10th. The varsity girls started the match with Baker games of 205 & 206 as Clio bowled games of 149 & 113. The Lady Hornets took a 10-0 lead going into the individual games and they did not let up as they came out and put up 1054 game the first game to Clio’s 816 and then the Kearsley girls backed up the 1054 game with another 1054 to Clio’s 833. The total final pinfall was Kearsley 2519 to Clio’s 1911 and the final score was 28-2. Scores for the Kearsley girls were Barbara Hawes 212 & 278, Karlee Griffin 167, Mary Wheeler 195 & 183, Alexis Roof 231 & 179, Imari Blond 249 & 224 and Allison Robbins 190. The 1054 games are the 8th highest games in the state for girls teams so far this season and the 2108 total for 2 games is the 5th highest in the state so far this season. The varsity girls are now 15-0 on the season with 1 match left against 2nd place Flushing on Thursday, February 15th at B’s Bowling. The varsity girls will be traveling to Bay City on Sunday, February 11th for a singles tournament to help get ready for Regionals.
