KHS Senior Barbara Hawes signed her National Letter of Intent this afternoon to continue her bowling career at Mount St. Mary’s University in Maryland. A member of the varsity girls bowling team for the past three season, Barb has been a part of three Flint Metro League championship teams, two MHSAA regional championships and three MHSAA state championships. Barb was named first team all-state in girls bowling during her senior campaign. She is heavily involved in other extracurricular activities at Kearsley including Girls Track and Field, Student Council, Retail Class, Student rep to the Board of Education and athletic department co-op. Barb earned academic all-state honors as a senior and was the Flint Metro League Female Scholar-Athlete of the Month for January. Mt. St. Mary’s University is located in Emmitsburg, Maryland and competes at the NCAA Division I level in women’s bowling. They are members of the Northeast Conference along with Bryant, Central Connecticut State, Fairleigh-Dickinson, LIU-Brooklyn, Robert Morris, Sacred Heart, St. Francis and Wagner. Congratulations Barb!
