The Kearsley Varsity Girls Bowling team clinched their 9th consecutive Flint Metro League championship on Thursday with a 30-0 victory over Brandon at Richfield Bowl. The Kearsley girls started the match with Baker games of 215 & 204 as Brandon bowled Baker games of 151 & 151. With a 10-0 lead going into the individual games the Kearsley girls put up another big game as they had 1084 actual to Brandon’s 734, the 2nd individual game the Kearsley girls bowled a 907 game to Brandon’s 720 game. The total final pinfall was Kearsley 2410 to Brandon’s 1756 and the final score was 30-0. Scores for the Kearsley girls were Barbara Hawes with games of 224 & 238, Emma Boychuk with games of 226 & 180, Karlee Griffin with games of 225 & 179, Imari Blond 205, Alexis Roof 204, Allison Robbins 161 and Mary Wheeler 149. The Lady Hornets Metro Conference record is now 14-0 and they have clinched the outright Metro Conference title for the 9th straight year, they also ran their winning streak to 102 straight matches in the conference.
