Multiple Teams · Jeremy Ferman named Kearsley Head Varsity Football Coach


Jeremy Ferman has been hired as a new physical education teacher and head varsity football coach at Kearsley High School.   Mr. Ferman comes to Kearsley from Durand High School where he served as a health and physical education teacher since August of 2015.   Prior to Durand, Mr. Ferman taught and coached for Almont Community Schools since 2001.  He served as the Almont Head Varsity Football Coach from 2004-2015.  During his coaching tenure in Almont, Coach Ferman led the Raiders to eight MHSAA playoff appearances and five conference championships.  His teams won three MHSAA district championships, two regional titles and advanced to the state semifinals in 2011 and 2014.  Coach Ferman was honored by the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association as the Division 5 State Coach of the Year in 2014.  He was also named MHSFCA Regional Coach of the Year on four occasions. Mr. Ferman is a 1999 graduate of Central Michigan University where he earned a bachelors degree in physical education and health education.  Mr. Ferman’s family includes his wife Angela, son Bryce and daughter Rylie.  Welcome Mr. Ferman!
